Our client, food production factory in Thessaloniki wishes to hire a Factory Maintenance Engineer.

Factory Maintenance Engineer ensures that any type of equipment is working properly. Responsible for working on a wide variety of machines, used in the manufacturing, heating/cooling or food preparation process, performs routine maintenance, troubleshoot problems and make repairs as needed. Maintenance Engineer would also be responsible for removing old equipment and installing new machines.

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

Involved in several tasks to ensure that industrial machines are maintained and repaired.

Inspects and maintains equipment to avoid malfunction and other problems with equipment, to make sure that equipment is working and not in danger of breaking down.

Performs routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machines to keep them running smoothly.

Participates and inspects replacing of worn parts, checks oil and other fluid levels.

Makes repairs when an industrial machine breaks down in order to get it working again.

Responsible for troubleshooting the problem and assessing whether parts can be repaired or need to be replaced.

Responsible for ordering and installing replacement parts.

Makes any required upgrades or changes to established systems to improve or prolong efficiency.

Installs new equipment and performs checks following installation to ensure that all systems are in working order.

Schedules and implements preventive maintenance programs.

Prepares expenses forecasts for maintenance activities, spare parts acquisitions and facility renewals.

Co-ordinates maintenance personnel, provides training to the users of the equipment and deals with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.

 

Factory Maintenance Engineer’s Skills

A strong problem solver with an eye for detail and an analytical mind.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Has a general understanding of electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating and electronic systems.

Understands how to read blueprints and system schematics.

Knows equipment safety systems and processes.

Knows OSHA guidelines and standards.

Understands how to handle and dispose of hazardous materials.

Demonstrates broad knowledge of basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Holder of Bachelor's degree in the field of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. 

Has already five years of experience in the industry maintenance. 

Fluent in English
